    Hello everyone,

My name is Pamela and I am new to Atkins. I'm on my 2nd day and apart from a splitting headache, it's not going too badly. I'm not feeling hungry and no sugar cravings yet. Maybe that's because I've had some sugar free jelly (not the jam kind ) as dessert.
Anyway, I found this site today and have been browsing for a couple of hours now. You all seem very nice and supportive and I'm amazed at how much weight you've all lost. Well Done! I just hope that I can achieve my target weight soon.

Thank you for your words of encouragement and tips. I will certainly check them out. I have read the book and I have one of the smaller books to carry around too for when I need to double check on things. As I mentioned, it hasn't been too bad so far and the headache is gone today too. I just really hope that I lose some weight.
Do you know if the sugar free jelly is allowed? On the packet it says that 1/4 pint is 0.3g of carbs and I have 1/2 a pint a day. I really hope it is allowed as this has been my saviour. I started with having diet cokes, but I haven't had any since starting on the sugar free jelly.

              Good Morning Pamela,

Good for you having the books. And that's great to hear the headache is gone.

About the sugar free jelly/jams, it's not on the Acceptable Food List, but can be added when you get to Rung 4 - Berries - during the Ongoing Weight Loss phase.
