My husband and I started Atkins yesterday. I am 5'8" 34-year-old female CW: 316. He is 6'1" 36-year-old male CW: 303. We have no kids, but lots of big dogs. We are determined to make 2006 the best year yet by getting healthy!!

I'm proud that you want to get healthy, becouse like you and your hubby, da wife & I want the same. My cousin is a fireman here and he calls me all the time telling me that a 32 year old man died of an heartattack. And several other guys and women under 35 here has died as well of heart failue. Now I don't know if it's related to family traits or not, but I don't wanna take the chance. Life is short enough w/ dieing at 65 or so.
Keep up the pace and you'll start feeling and looking good in no time.

Hey rydslo! Welcome to the board!
My DH is doing Induction with me too (we don't have kids either) and it helps when everyone in the house is eating the same thing and have the same goals in mind -- sorta like a "buddy" system.
If you get a chance, start a journal and post some pictures of your dogs. We got one in April and I just love having a dog in the house. Now we are contemplating getting another one.
Anyway, best wishes on your new adventure in getting healthy!
