Welcome to ADBB! Remember you can have carbs, just not like before. You get the good carbs from mainly all those delcious veggies. Be sure to keep a copy of DANDR close by, it's really helped me out the last year. Well, in Feb it will be a year. Congratulations on becoming an RN! I've always had tremendous respect for how hard an RN's job is. Well done! You're going to do great!!!

Welcome. Yes, it is hard to break an old habit, but once you make changes and see such great results -- it becomes easier. I'm almost two years on Atkins, and I find now that it is hard for me to eat anything without calculating the carbs in it. If you PLAN to succeed at this WOE, then you will do it. We are all here to support you and keep you motivated. Best Wishes!!!

There are so many wonderful things you can eat on Atkins. Try to focus on those rather than those horrid sugars and refined flours. Soon you'll be feeling so healthy you'll hardly miss the bad carbs at all. Hang in there... Atkins gets easier and easier as you go along, and this board supplies all the help and encouragement you could wish for... not to mention lots and lots of recipes and ideas!

          Happy losing!

            Welcome
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
            he said, 'Don't count calories.'
