    Hi
My name is sandi and i started induction on t he 3rd
but i am having trouble staying in the 20 carbs level.
it doesnt sound so hard on paper and its not like i am cheating, im not trying to.
I do fit day - is that truely true?
I might have to do my whole day first in there and then see if the carbs are ok
I lost some weight but my scale is junk, i just see the pointer things moving its like 2-3 lbs

Dont rely on the scale. Take a tape measure and use that instead. Sticking to the 20g isnt had for induction. Stick to meats and cups of vegetables and salads and you'll be fine. Avoid caffeine and sodas and drink nothing but water.

Do that and don't exceed the cups of vegetables and salad and you wont go over 20g

According to fitday broccoli has 5 carbs but 3 grams of fiber. You subtract the 3 from the 5 and only count 2 carbs for the broccoli.
          MAke sence?

Welcome !! If you stick to your meat and veggies you should not go over at all. It is when the low carb goodies start creeping in that the carbs can go way up. Cheese can have some too. Veggies are your best friend carb wise as they also add that fiber !!
Sounds like you are doing good !!! Stephie

                        Re: new here

This is only my opinion, but I would have eaten the onions and tomatoes in the salad and not used the tomato sauce with the steak. I think tomato sauces are pretty high, but could be wrong. Like I said, this is only my opinion.
You should have protein at every meal, maybe a hamburger patty with the salad, remember the protein is so important. You have to make sure to get enough of that.
Another reason the tomato sauce concerns me, is fat. I think that by cooking the steak in olive oil, butter , or such, you would add some fat to the diet, something I have had to work on too. One of my favorate salad dressings and you can use plenty of it and not worry, is to just take mayo and add salt and pepper to it and it makes a very filling and low carb salad dressing. Many times at fast food places I have requested mayo and then used the little salt and pepper packets to season it.
Overall you are doing well, just need to balance it a bit more by making sure you have that protien with every meal and plenty of fat through the day.
Keep up the good work !!! Stephie

                          thank you,
it was a crockpot with steak cooked in tomato sause, and i really dont like cherry tomatos and raw onions.

and i agree about the fat thats my hardest
that day has according to fitday 75 gms of fat
is fat from food different from mayo, olive oil etc?
Im sorry if these questions seem stupid

Hi Sd, The fat percentage of 65% is the total from everything you eat. So it would be the total grams from your meat, oils, mayo...everything combined.
