  • Saying Hello, starting over

HI everyone, my name is Cher and I'm a 39 year old freelance photographer from Alabama.
I"ve done Atkins before and felt so much better when I was on this WOL. However, I stopped doing it about 3 years ago and have gained back all of the weight I lost and then some.
My current weight is 220 lbs and my goal weight is 115 - 120 lbs. But to be honest, I'm ready to just be able to move and breath again.
I'm getting married in May and would LOVE to be in a bit better shape by then. I know i can't loose all the weight I need to by then and still be healty, but I'd at least like to have a great start by then (May 20th).
I'm also a diabetic and remember how easy it was to maintain good glucose levels before on Atkins.
Anyway, that's me NIce to meet ya
    Cher C.

So, heading down the Atkins aisle before heading down the wedding aisle?
        Now that's motivation!!!
I've lost a bunch on atkins before also. I'll be rooting for ya! Cause except for the marriage thing, I'm right there with you.

              Re: Saying Hello, starting over

Hi Cher, Welcome. I have a goal set for May too, My husband and i are going on our honeymoon(we eloped last may, friday the 13th )We couldnt afford to go until now but we're taking a cruise to the mexican rivera . So my goal is to slim down and not to be embarassed to wear a swim suit. To give myself some motivation i cut out pictures of cute bathing suits i liked and pictures of mexico and taped them to my fridge door. Everytime i opened it i remind myself of my goal . Anyways, i thought you might find it useful too, maybe find pictures of wedding dresses that you like? I wish you the best of luck and keep us updated!!
