    Hello, been lurking for a while, thought I should probably introduce myself. I am a stay at home mom of a 5 yr old little boy and 2 yr old little girl. I started Atkins with dh about 2 months ago. I gained 60 pds with my first pregnancy and only lost about 20 of it after he was born. I managed to lose a little more before the second pregnancy (mainly with diet pills), then with the second pregnancy I was much more careful about what I ate and only gained 40. I haven't lost any of that, plus I gained a little more with a bout of postpardum depression. Well she's 2 1/2 now, and I have no more excuses to still be fat.

    I sooo want to look like I did prepregnancy, to be the same girl my husband married! And I want my self-confidence back. I've been pretty happy with the results so far. Induction was amazing! I saw immediate results. Since then the pounds are not melting as fast, but I haven't been as good as I could be with exercise and water. Also, I drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day(with Splenda and sugar free flavored creamer) and am addicted to mock danishes.

    I thought I was looking pretty good until I saw a picture of me taken this weekend-yuk. I've come here to get motivated to be at strict as ya'll are about everything! I never thought I'd be lowcarbing (I was a serious former carb addict-like noodes and butter was my favorite meal and I had to have something sweet after EVERY meal!) but so far I love it. I still miss some foods but I love to cook and have really enjoyed experimenting with all the recipes. It's also easier with dh doing it with me. Although he's been out of town working most of the time. I feel so bad for him, it's hard to be on the road doing Atkins.

    I just moved to an apartment complex with a workout room so I've been a couple of times. It's difficult to take the 2 yr old with me though. I'm thinking about getting one of the exercise tapes I keep hearing about on here. No more excuses. I have to exercise.

    Welcome Stacey, so glad you joined and posted. As you know this is a great forum, with lots of support and friendship. Your going to be a goalie soon

      Hi Stacey and welcome ADBB!

      You'll get great support here for your journey! That's great about the exercise room in your complex...and you're so right, the tapes are great to have too!
