  • Third time's a charm!!!

    Helloooo atkineers!!!!!

This is actually my 3rd time starting atkins.

My first time was back in 2003... I made it about 3 weeks (only lost 8 pounds) and quit. Then I attempted to try again, lasted about 3 days and didn't lose anything. lol.

Now... here we go... The third time, i'm on day 4, and i'm doing better than either of the previous times!!!

I got a little of that induction flu yesterday and it almost dissuaded me from continuing and then I looked through all of your beautiful before and after pics and kept going because of the motivation you all inspired in me!!!!

I'm 27, I weigh about 188 pounds or so... I think. and my goal is 145!!!

    My mini goals are:

1.5 litres of water a day... but I tend to get to 3 litres, YAY ME!
    10 pounds by Valentine's day (I haven't seen below 180 in years)
exercise 3 times a week (excluding Curves.. eg. crunches, push ups)
attend Curves twice a week (i'm not a big fan of the people there)

hmmm... any other goals anyone can recommend!!!!

I didn't want to post on this board until I was at least half way through the week!!! and here I am... a little over half.

The weekend will be the most challenging for me though!!

oh good for you! keep it up. the weekends can be killer so be careful. i'm the queen of starting and re-starting. i'm presently in the restarting process. i've been told by the board time and time again to stave off craving have some high fat. well i finally decided to listen and guess what it does work. one of my mentors here on the board advised me to have some bacon on hand at all times. oh boy has it been a life saver. whenever i feel myself desiring something taboo, i have a few strips of bacon! keeps me sane and satisfied. give it a try if you need to this weekend. and congratulations on your success thus far!

Hi IceQueen and welcome back to Atkins and ADBB!!

Yeah, I hear you on the weekends, but just be prepared with low carb foods, so you can easily grab something on plan! You'll do great!

Have you checked out the Second Time Around Club (STAC) in the Atkins For Support section of the board?

Glad you're back and hope to see you around the board!
