  • Frequent Failure

Over the last three years I've tried Atkins a dozen times. I fall off the wagon after the 3rd week. At that point my craving for bread and cereal and popcorn are overwhelming and I'm bored to death with protein and veggies . The weight loss each subsequent try is sooo much slower. I want to lose 30 pounds by July and am still convinced this is the way to do it. Hope this site will provide me with the motivation and support I need -- and hoping to get into boot camp.

There are so many options for food on this plan that you really never should get bored with it. Look through some of the recipes on this site. If it's really important to you, you can do this, and there are lot's of people here to help you with it. This is a great site!!! Rocks!!!!!!

Calling it GOAL at this point. I'm happy with where I am now and hope to stay there, or maybe even take it down a little more.

Hello and welcome! Remember when people used to put their "fat picture" on the fridge? It still works! Look around the forum and check out everyone's before and after pictures. They are such an inspiration right there to keep going beyond 3 weeks. Read their journals and the joy they feel when they step on the scale and more weight has dropped off, all because they are following Atkins. Is the bread, cereal and popcorn worth trashing for that feeling? You bet it is!

Hips...I have trouble staying on too....you may want to do the 2 weeks and then move into OWL, it will give you more options as you continue to lose weight without falling off.

          Good luck
