  • Hello everyone

    Hi,

    Well I am kind of new here. I use to visit the boards a about a year ago and recently decided to incorporate the Atkins way of eating into my lifestyle. I must say I feel very comfortable with it. I have lost 10 lbs in the past two weeks though I know a majority of it is water loss. I joined Curves to assist in speeding up the weightloss and increase my rate of metabolism. I had a problem with eating too many sweets so I tried the low carb candy and ice cream for a while. The problem was that i was eating it all the time, always popping something in my mouth. So now I have eliminated that completely and try to stay away from anything resembling sweet because then I go crazy on it. I have enjoyed reading the board and learning from people's successes and failures.

      Hi Cgrant and welcome to !!! And that's awesome about the 10 pound loss!!

      I'm glad you discovered that about the "low carb treats", they truly empty/nutrition-less food...they do nothing but keep your sweet tooth alive. Getting them out of your plan is the best thing you can do, especially if sweets are a known weakness! Congrats on that decision!

      And good for you on incorporating an exercise plan! whoohoo!
