    Re: Snacks....

I like to microwave pepperoni until crispy. I also like celery with my version of ranch, or the occasional string cheese. I also do wraps with lettuce and deli turkey or chicken. Also, at the beginning of each week, I bake a bunch of chicken breast to use throughout the week. Hope this helps. I try to eat every few hours to keep my matoblism going. I don't do just three big meals, but 5 or 6 mini meals.

      Re: Snacks....

Just a note on the pepperoni. I'd watch how much of it you eat. It does usually contain quite a bit of salt, which can be a problem with water retention.

If I need a snack, I usually have a cheese cube or two. Those need to be limited too, or they can cause a stall.

I stay away from the pork rinds, they remind me too much of potato chips, and I used to have a real problem with those!!!

Hard boiled eggs make a good snack, if you like 'em. You can also fry up some bacon ahead of time and have a slice of that for a quick snack.

      Best of luck to you!

Hey Chelsea! You've a lot of recommendations for pepperoni crisps here and I can add to that. I like deli turkey and cheese slices wrapped up in a big lettuce leaf. Or slices of cheddar dipped in grainy mustard. A lot of folks seem to like the pork rinds but I can't seem to get one of those past my lips without my throat closing up. Just can't do pork rinds! I don't suppose you can count water as a snack but it sure does fill you up between meals!!!!

I love pork rinds! I use them for scoops for all kinds of salads. But I have been eating them since practically birth!! Do watch the sodium intake though.

Alot of good suggestions so far. I like to cube up jicama and celery and eat them like popcorn. Also I roll turkey and cheese up using Grey Poupon like glue to keep it together. I like eating shrimp with Frank's Redhot and alittle bit of blue cheese dressing (make sure it is no more than 2 carbs per 2 tbsp)
You might want to check out the recipe section. There is a section for snacks there too. As well as the recipe book.
Glad to have ya here and keep up the hard work!!
