Hello! My name is Ann and I have an ice cream addiction...seriously!! I do...I have gained 25 lbs in about 6 months. That was AFTER I lost all of my weights after my third baby! I am determined to do Atkins because I have done it before and I know it works. I have to break this ice cream evening ritual! Other than that, I eat pretty healthy...but my addiction has done plenty of damage! I like sweets all around so this will be a big lifestyle change, once again...this time I hope for good. So here we go...wish me luck!

Re: Addiction damage
welcome no luck needed cause if you are ready then your hard work and determination will get you there not luck.
Make sure you have made your journey as easy as possible by teling everybody you have changed your eating habits so you can be healtheir and smaller. then tell them specifically you have trouble with ice cream so no ice cream will be in the house until you can gain control of yourself. If your kids were part of this ice cream ritual then change this time together to a non food time to play a game read books draw whatever just occupy yourself without icecream and enjoy spending tome with them.
We have a new exercise challeng startign on sunday 6WEC #24 and all the other ones are open enrollment if you want to join foe somefun with that mandatory exercise part of your Atkins. check them out in the exercise challenge forum. the Vidiots are in the exercise board for some reason.

Re: Addiction damage
2Big is dead on with her advice! Subbing out a non food activity will help alot. I found keeping my water bottle on hand ALWAYS really helped me kick that snacky habit in the evenings.
Welcome to the board, Ann. You have come to a great place to get your information and loads of support!!
