I am doing Atkin's again, started on Dec 28th. I am at the end of my fourth week. I am mainly doing the induction phase but over the last two weeks have loosened up a little bit.
I did Atkin's last year--starting the day after Xmas through Feb 28th and lost 25 lbs. I started at 230lbs. Even though I started looking and feeling so much better I never crossed that 200 mark.
This time I am proud to say I am down 11 lbs! and well below that 200 threshold. If I had known about this website last year I may have been able to stay with it longer and would be that much further along today. Anyway I am so glad to meet other people doing this. I hear such negative things about Atkin's and everyone tells me I am going to get sick doing this. When the real truth is I am going to get sick staying at this weight. Before last year I was having problems with pain in my hips and knees and feet.
I would like to know if people eat the bars and ice cream that is low carb? Also, any other snacks that people have invented? I started having the Atkins shakes for lunch when I am out and can't really eat a meal. Since I have started adding these things my ketone stick color has gotten to the point where there is just a trace.
Also, I am addicted to diet coke. Does anyone know how this might affect my weight loss?
