My name is Liz, and I'm sort of attempting a somewhat lifestyle overhaul in all areas, not just my diet. So far, so good.. For the most part. [img]images/smilies/wink.gif[/img]
I've been in Induction for the past two days, and today is my third. However, I'm suddenly scared that I've not been doing things totally to the best of my ability. I walk at a fast pace, at least 3 times a week for anywhere from 2.5 to 4 miles per walk. However, after reading this thread: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24266 I've been worried that what I've been eating is not appropriate in order to correctly kick off the diet. But an excellent thread, as it got me to sign up for the forum!
I'd like to perhaps post (in the other forum?) what I've eaten the past 2.5 days to get an opinion on what I need to change. I love veggies, all meats, etc. And I love to cook, it's one of my favorite hobbies. My only problem is money. I need to keep my diet relatively inexpensive.
I don't have very many stats for myself and I haven't set any serious goals like I've seen so many people do. I do know that I'm 5'8", weighed 165 last I was at the docs annnnnnnnd that's about it. I'd like to continue walking at least three times a week and eventually get up to a longer distance each walk. I'm also looking to get a street bike to ride around on for some extra excercise. I would like to lose 25 lbs if I'm realistic.
