  • almost done with induction

Hi everyone!! I have been reading through the posts on this site and see so may success stories...congrats to all of you. I hope that I will be able to post something of the like in the future. I am currently in my 12th day of induction and have lost 11 lbs. I don't know if this is good but it seems good to me. I think I am doing well so far...at least this is not one of those diets where you feel that you are starving all the time!!!

So here goes...my starting weight was 285, I am now at 274. My goal is 199. I have not been under 200 in 10 years....that is not a real great track record since I am 28. I have a two year old son and work as an insurance broker.

I will be checking back often to check on all of your stories!!

Wish me luck and best of luck to you all!!!

Hi Pressysmom and wxguy! You're both off to a great start and are in the very best place for support and encouragement.
When I think of all the weight I have yet to lose and think it's just impossible I picture those little one-pound cans of Crisco in the grocery store. I mentally pile up 45 of them - one for each pound lost so far - and say to myself "that used to be a part of me". Makes it easier to walk away from the stuff that's bad for me!!!
                We'll lose together!
