  • Question

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. I have completed 2 full days, but getting bad headaches. Maybe from the lack of sweets? I'm not sure.
Fllowcarber recommended Induction Boot Camp and I'm not sure what that is? If someone could clue me in...I'm sure it will help!! Again, thanks everyone...

    Re: Question

Did you quit coffee, too? Withdrawal from coffee is migraine city for 2 days.

Welcome, Michelle, glad you are here with ADBB. Lots of great people here for encouragement, support, and education.

    What are your goals, Michelle?

      Re: Question

I have awful headaches after cutting out caffeine!
It will only last a couple of days, after that, it should be the complete opposite, with fewer headaches than usual because of the lack of sugar

        Re: Question

Boot Camp will help you do a clean induction and you learn a lot about the Atkins woe such as how to do it correctly and everything. It's very helpful. One just finished but another one should be starting up soon. Sometime this month I would think. Watch out for a Boot Camp thread inviting people to apply. It's a lot of work, but it's really worth it if you want to understand how it all works to do it successfully.

              Re: Question

The first three days or so is the worst. Your body is craving carbs and caffenine. Once you get past that you feel so full of life. The energy is amazing. Try putting ice packs under the back of your neck and lay down for a while. I find the ice helps with the headache and also relaxes you!

                Re: Question

I had the most vile migraine for 3 days. I gave in on day 2 and had a coffee, which eased it for about 4 hours. Then about 1pm on day 3 I ralised it was gone and I felt great. Have never looked back! I used to have migraines every week and have not had ONE since Induction. You'll feel wonderful once you are over this hurdle.

                    Re: Question

Ive had migraines all my life. I tried to stopp drinking coffee but I just couldnt get out of bed.
I managed to cut down the amount of coffee I have a day, from 10 mugs to one over breakfast. I feel fine.
I had very bad headaches the first and second day but I thought about it as my body being cleaned from all the crap (can we say crap here?? Im not a native and I have doubts sometimes) I was forcing it to have.
Also, are you taking your suplements? I wouldnt have reach the 13 IND day without mine.

                    good luck
