  • Hello Everyone!

Hello Everyone! I spent about 4 hours yesterday checking out all of the boards and I was so encouraged by all of your success stories and kind advice to each other. I started Atkins again for the second time yesterday. I was an active low carber for a couple of years and I just fell off the wagon and I now look like I ate it!!! I have never been a huge fan of the scale, I have always jst gone by how I looked and how my clothes fit, but yesterday I hopped on the scale and I was horrified at the number staring up at me. I know with all of the support on this board and iron will power I can melt all the icky fat!! Thank you all for being so kind and supportive!

      Re: Hello Everyone!

Thank you! I already feel like I have more than enough support to make this happen!! I am starting out with mini goals for now, at least through induction. I haven't decided if I am going to do just the 2 weeks, or if I am going to go for 4 or even 6. I will need to see how I am feeling and how my body is responding to this WOE.

        hello marie
13 pounds are going to fly just like that..dont worry
but do commit to atkins as a woe..as u know it isnt a fad diet..dont take it as a quick fix stick to the plan..and plan in advance that when u move from induction to owl and pm,and maintanace..
since u have few pounds u will have to divide pounds so u go through all the phases, and maintane your weight, induction isnt the whole diet

                Re: Hello Everyone!

Thank you all so much! Ultimately I would like to drop to about 140-160lbs , but I figure taking it 10-15 lbs at a time will work better for me as far as staying motivated. Right now I am a size 14, my goal is to get down to an 8 or 10. I think I am going to put more stock in how I feel in my clothes rather than the number on the scale. The last time I did Atkins I never used the scale at all, but I was 20 then so I think I may have been in better shape to lose the weight. Hopefully my metabolism hasn't slowed down too much in 5 years!!!!

You can do it! Welcome aboard! Even though wagons have a lot of fiber, I would suggest that you don't eat anymore of them, k?
