  • 1 Week on Atkins Induction

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Wayne and I am 40yo. I started Atkins on 1-29-06 weighing 428lbs. I have lost 10lbs during the first week of induction. I have attempted Atkins before and have been somewhat successful. Of course I have gone off of it and forgotten the eating principles. This time things seem different. I am more motivated and determined than ever before. My goal is to weigh 225lbs by the end of the year. Congratulations to those who have made it and thanks for posting your success stories. They definitely inspire me. To everyone who is still struggling hang in there we will make it!

Yes Iwannabealoser, I'm sure you will make it with your new positive attitude. Welcome to ADBB. You've come to the right place for support, encouragement and advice. Congrats on your ten pound loss so far!

Do you have a copy of DANDR? (the 2002 edition). Essential reading and interesting too. If you understand how the diet works, it makes it easier to follow. This board is very much by-the-book, which is how Dr A intended his diet to be.

Why not check out the Second Time Around Forum, where you can share your experience with others and find out about theirs...

Looking forward to following your progress.

    Happy losing!
