  • First time writing...

    Hello this is my first time writing on here. I started my diet on Dec. 12,2005. I have been doing good but I need support........My start weight was 308 and as of today I am 258. My goal is 155lbs. Any help will hope.. It seems to be that I have slowed down. HELP ME>>>> I can't go back......

      Congratulations on losing 1/3 of your weight in 3 months. That's awesome! You are doing great so far. You may plateau for a while, it happens. Keep at it. As your body catches up and resets itself to the new you, you will start losing again. It happens in spirts sometimes. I've gone for 2 weeks at the same weight, then whoosh, I lose ten pounds the next week. Try to stay off the scale as much as possible. It's easier to judge your progress by how your clothes feel on your body. KUTGW!

        welcome to ADBB from another former 300+ pounder. weigh to go on your great starting loss youhave lost over 1/3 of your total needed to lose pounds in less then 60 days.

        Weight loss will slow down as you get smaller cause each pound lost represents a bigger persent of the actual amouint of weight you need to lose. 10 pounds for somebody 100 pounds over weight is the same as 20 for 200 pounds over weight and 1 for 10 pounds over weight.

        What you doing for the exercise part of your Atkins?
        Are you still on extened induction or have you moved to OWL for more food choices?

              That is fantastic. It will happen. Take it from someone who only lost around 12lbs before the weight loss was hesitant. I picked up my exercise from 3 times a week at 30 minutes to 4 times at 45 minutes. It is coming off again. Best of luck on your weightloss, and don't let anything stop you from your goal.

                Wow, you are doing fantastic. I think you've lost a lot in such a short time. Are you taking your measurements? Make sure you are exercising as well as drinking water and taking your supplements as you do Atkins. You will feel lots better about yourself and more positive. It is normal to get nervous when you realize you are really succeeding. Don't look back, keep going. Read your DANDR for motivation and come here to the ADBB. Join challenges. Read the posts and make friends with the other members. Best wishes. Whooopppeeee, you are doing great!

                  I think this is so normal my weight loss has also slowed a bit but is still going down slowly now about 4 pounds per month. Take a hard look at what you are eating maybe you have let certain things creep in, I started at almost 300 and am now 258 so we are about in the same boat.                     You have done superbly! It's taken me 20 weeks to lose 55lb - so you are 'weigh' ahead. I'm losing 2 kg a month now pretty steady, and have another 43 kgs (84 lbs) to go. I'm trying to hurry it up with exercise!, byt 2 kgs a month is pretty good really.
                    Be patient, it will shift, and if the loss is slow you skin has time to adjust.
