    Hey, i've posted a bit about myself under BEFORE n AFTER pictures, but in summary i've lost 80lbs from May 04 to May 05, but then went to college and gained a bad 10lbs from poor eating... so i made the decisions ot get back on the wagon and head to my goal and stay there.. so i finally thrrew out all my bad food and today I'm signing myself up to the gym, also just purchased Dr. Atkins New Revolution which should be in shortly so I'm READY TO GO! Oh and going grocery shoppin today.. SO i just want to post this for myself to finally tell myself ALRIGHT AMANDA UR GUNNA DO IT! n and also bc i know going from real bad food to healthy food is sure not easy at first and i know im going to be really tempted.. so are there any tips that have helped ya'll from those bad cravings?? any snacks that can help? I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

    Wow amanda you look great in your during pic! You've come so far already and you know how this diet works! Tips for snacks, i'd say cook up some extra bacon or sausages to have on hand. String cheese, broccoli, cauliflower are some of my favorites. And if you're in desperate mode well check out the snacks and dessert links here on the forum. Plenty of good induction friendly stuff there too!
    and stay away from the franken foods....you'll do great!

        Welcome ... so glad to see you back. Your picture looks great. My tricks aren't really tricks at all, but they help me stay true. I carry my 'fat' photos in my purse wherever I go...if I feel the least bit tempted, I look at them. I never cheat cause I don't want to ever look like that again. When I am hungry and know I'm just wanting to do useless snacking...I take a walk, call a friend, drink lots of water or have a small snack of celery, green peppers, radishes or cucumbers. At different times and depending on the time-frame I have...I use one of these methods.

            Amanda You look great!!! And I want to offer Super BIG Congratulations on starting NOW. 10 pounds up.... it took me like 40 to snap out of it and restart!!! I waited till I was uterly miserable again before I could finally muscle up the courage to restart.

            You are going be feeling great and losing weight in no time. If you can keep artifical sweetner servings to 3 per day it will really help with the cravings I find, that also includes diet cokes, SF jello and anything else.

            My hints keep anything that is a real trigger food for you out of the house if possible, you can tell others and inlist their help, like i said to DH pizza is sooo hard for me to resist...can we not have any in the house for the first few weeks until I feel stronger, that would really be a big support for me from you. Also if he or the kids want ice cream...my ultimate binge food...I have them go to dairy queen and get it there so there's no carton in the fridge sending me telepathic signals to EAT ME

            I think you doing it right by shopping first, it is soo important to have legal foods available so when you are hungry you EAT. AMybe make up a few quick things that you could grab in a hurry, like hot wings, meat-cream cheese roll up I put a little pickle sliver in the middle, maybe fry some bacon up and the put it cooked in baggy in fridge to grab quickly in the am.
