  • Hello fellow Atkinettes

Just wanted to say Hello to all my fellow Atkinettes! I am starting the journey . One that I anticipate will be tough but rewarding. When I quick smoking years ago, an online group was very beneficial in my success. I am hoping the same will be true for my weight loss. I am on day 10 of the induction phase and so far so good. The lesson for me is to be prepared with the right foods. Never get caught hungry without them. My big weakness is sweets and snacks I am trying to lose the second half of my baby weight. My "baby" is 10 years old!!!! Wish me luck and I am open to all suggestions/comments.

Feel good that you have 'baby weight', I weigh 10 pounds MORE than the day before I had my baby (who is 6 yrs old). Hang in there, you can do it!!! I am only on day #3 on induction, but already feel better. Have you been working out?? I do 25 minutes on my Eliptical every other day. I have been doing that since Dec. 26th, way before I started this WOL.

Thanks Sunflowergrl. Yes I haveve been working out, about 4-5 days a week elliptical and weights. The working out part for me has never been a problem. It's the diet. I was so use to eating whatever I wanted for years with no problem but age changes that.

I am with you on that one!!! I don't mind exercise, it was always the dieting that was awful for me!! I am glad this is a WOL not just another fad diet.

Welcome Angela. You will find the ADBB an excellent source of emotional support. Be sure to read all the stickys in the induction forum.
Good luck to you on your Atkins journey.
