Today is my 14th day on Induction. I have a question. As of today the scales say I have only lost 3 lbs. I feel better and seem to feel a little differnce in my clothes but 3 lbs during the induction phase does not sound like a lot. I have not cheated and have stayed way under the 20 carbs per day. Does anyone have any advise for me. I am also a diabetic (on oral medication) and my blood sugar has been very eratic, during this induction, running high to normal. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. I appreciate any feed back....

Re: Just started on Wednesday, Feb 1st
Hi Blg and welcome to ADBB and Atkins.
Good to hear you're feeling better and you notice a difference in the way your clothes fit...and great on the 3 pound loss!
Why don't you post a few days worth of your Induction menu's in the Review My Menu forum, here:
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...splay.php?f=50
Include all portion sizes.
How much weight do you have to lose, what is your starting and goal weight?
I'm surprised about your blood sugar issues while on Atkins, were you able to track what you ate at the last meal prior to spike?
Regardless, if it's spiking differently than what's normal for you, my suggestion is to contact your doctor.
And (I think it was mentioned already), there's is a Diabetes forum here that you may be interested in.
Hope to see you around the board!Shelly

Re: Just started on Wednesday, Feb 1st
Have you had any "low carb" products during these two weeks? If so, that would be a reason for the spikes and for slower loss than you expected. Just a thought....

Re: Just started on Wednesday, Feb 1st
Also, if you're exercising, especially lifting weights, you might be gaining a few pounds in muscle so the net loss looks smaller than it is... if you're exercising, that is.No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

Re: Just started on Wednesday, Feb 1st
In the DANDR it states that people on certain medication may lose less weight than other people. I agree try not eating anything but cream and motzrella cheese lots and lots of water for you esoecially with the diabetes try not to have any thing with any added sugars
