  • New to the Atkins Way!

    Hi everyone. My name is Michelle and I am new to Atkins.I am into my 2nd week on the Induction Phase and looking forward to extending it. I am 32 and have been overweight most of my life . In the last couple of years I seemed to have really packed on the weight to the point that I am afraid of getting on the scale because the truth is ready to stare me in the face. I am happy to find this site and I am looking forward to the support it offers.
    It's nice to meet everyone!

    Hi, Michelle. Welcome to ADBB. I was afraid to get on the scale when I first started this, but I thought that I needed to know. Getting on and seeing the cruel hard truth is making me work that much harder. Don't forget to measure yourself, too. You came to the right place. Loads of support here. Good luck!

      welcome to the board
      I am back on plan after a bad back slide and I know what you mean by being scared of stepping on the scale
      please make sure you take your measurement at least.......they are more reliable than scale anyway and you will have something to celebrate everytime you check on your inches lost!!!

        Good luck!! I am new to this, also. I started on Monday Feb. 13. So far, so good!!! I just tried the mock danish today, LOVED IT!!!!!!! I know what you mean about the scale, only now that i have weighed myself, I can't stay off it!! I am making myself wait until this Monday before i get back on. I can't wait to see my progress. GOOD LUCK!!!
        What would we do without it?
