My name is Theresa, and I'm the mom, (single) of six daughters. ( yes, six, yes all girls, no, I wasn't trying for a boy........)
My boyfriend of a year got me interested in this. when I met Rick last year I weighed 160, at 5'4". you know how it is, new love.........eating out....etc. Add to that the Rick is an excellent cook, near chef status. within the past year I gained myself right up to 220 !!! The most I've ever weighed in my entire life and that's including being pregnant 6 times. disgusting isn't it?
Years and years ago, about 15 I think, I lost weight by following a low fat, never eat diet, and kept that off for about 6 yrs. bouncing up and down. but, gradually, it all came back and thensome. so that was that.
Now I'm doing this. As I said, Rick got me into it, I've read the book and been following the diet very carefully. I'm only in my 5th full day. Can't say I've noticed anything substantial yet. I hit middle of the strip with the K-Strips. This afternoon, one of my daughters told me that they had had a discussion about this diet and pretty much agreed that it was wrong. I had gone to bed already, I drive a school bus and am at work at 530am. They couldn't understand how I could eat chicken I had just fried in butter apparently.
But thanx to this website and the book, I've the perfect response...... " I didn't ask you to be on this diet, I decided to go on it." and let the words fall on deaf ears.
