  • A quick hello

    Hello all !
Just starting out and hoping to find all the help I can get. I have been battling the buldge for what seems like forever, and love all the success stories I have heard about right here. Kinda lets me know this is the place I want to be! I love the idea of Boot Camp and will check into the next one in March, but does anyone have any kick start ideas I can use before that???

    Re: A quick hello

    Hi Selby,
go for BC!!! it is definately the best program to help you to go through a clean, strict induction (which is the best foundation for this WOL)

    in the meanwhile
-read (if you've already done re-read) DANDR cover to cover and get ready to follow the book to the T
    - read the stickies in the induction and stac forum: you'll find plenty of info and support and tips
    - keep browsing around the board for inspiration, motivation and support
-get ready with your exercise plan: you won't be doing atkins without exercising
    - stock up your cupboard and fridge with foods from the acceptable food list for induction
-drink plenty of water and more water
    -plan your supplements intake

well it should be enough for a good start
    off you go
    happy low carbing

Look for recipes, I have been and it makes it more fun!! Try the Mock Danish (in the recipe forum) its yummy and curbs the sweet tooth!! Make sure you understand Induction BEFORE you start this WOL!! I am so grateful to have found ADBB, and I am glad you did too!! Take care and happy low-carbing!!
What would we do without it?

      Mini-goal- 149 by June 1st. I can do it!!!

Started this WOL on Feb. 13, 2006.

        Re: A quick hello

The things I found made the biggest difference were:
        * Drinking water (if I didn't get at least 64 ounces I would stall)
        * very little cheese and cream (the four and two tablespoons is the max, eating less seems to work better for me)
        * whole foods, and less processed meat

        Good luck!
