  • Howdy!!!!!

    Hello everyone! I just discovered this message board and I"m thrilled to absolute bits!

    I just restarted atkins because I have GOT to lose weight and it is the most effective way for me to do it at this moment in my life. I did atkins last year for a few weeks and lost 23 pounds....and was sooo proud of myself I lost track of the original goal and FELL completely off the wagon. I know that sounds odd, but it happens with me....I live WAY too much in the moment.

    I'm now in my second week of atkins and am doing much better this time around. I am keeping my longterm goal in mind and focusing ALL THE WAY!

    I can't wait until I can share some before/during/ and FINALLY after pics with you all!

    Welcome, and good for you!! Have you tried fitday or do you have the book?? I just love my fitday and it really keeps me honest, I know I have to put every bit in and I don't want to have to look at any mistakes!!! I need things to keep me honest!! What are your stats?? What are your goals?? Share with us, we can help!!!
    What would we do without it?

      Welllll, I'm just now reading the book AGAIN because I didn't retain much information...hehe.


      I updated my profile so my stats SHOULD be at the bottom of this page...I hope.

        Hello. Welcome and glad you found us. This site can be a great source of information, inspiration and encouragement to you as you change your life and way of eating. All of us are making it happen through sharing our experiences and knowledge. I can tell you truthfully that if you follow Dr. Atkins' plan by eating correctly, exercising, drinking lots of water and taking supplements...then you will lose the weight. It can be an adventure with friends instead of a lonely miserable journey if you participate here with challenges and sharing your ups/downs. We all want to see you succeed. I look forward to your posts and hope you find all the support you need to help you along the way!!

                Thanks for all the responses ladies! I have snooped around the boards and you are such inspirations for me! I'm so glad I found this place. I am extremely active. I work with my horse and help my sister in law with her four horses. I used to halter break cattle and did so during PUBERTY...which probably wasn't very smart. I'm built like a tank...healthy as a horse...just as big as one too...hehe.

                Mostly I am doing this for my health, but I have a mare that is blind in one eye and in order to be a better rider I need to lose a lot of weight. I love this horse and she's super sweet...so I wanna make things easier on her...bless her heart...lol.

                My husband supports me, though he could care less what I weigh because he's just one of those guys that loves unconditionally (everyone sigh now...lol).

                I am stubborn and determined...though I might require a kick in the butt from time to time. Now everyone line up to see who gets the first kick
