  • Hello from the Northeast

Hi everyone: I've been lurking around this board for a few months. Had a few failed attempts at the Atkins WOE but now I'm ready to commit myself to this. I'm one of those people that don't look overweight because I cover it well. When I tell people I need to lose about 40 pounds they think I'm crazy, but I've learned it's not what other people think, it's really what you think. So I begin my journey today. I'm headed to the store to buy my supplies.

Hopefully by June I'll be beach ready. I've always wanted to learn how to surf, but no way would i take off my shirt in public. I have a good feeling that will all change soon! What kind of life is it to live 30 minutes from Cape Cod and not ever go to the beach? Not cool!

    And off we go...

Sometimes we just need to "be there" psychologically to make changes happen, even if we know how to do it. I think you'll find this a very supportive place. Here's to your success!
