My husband and I are 3 weeks into our effort to regain control of our weight and appetite. We have 2 small children, 5 and 3 who love to test our will-power by offering us tastes of their food - the banned stuff! We both have managed to stick to the diet without cheating. Yesterday was our daughter's birthday party, and we didn't even have a sample of a piece of cake! Today is her actual birthday, and we are considering having a slice of her second cake, and I am very tempted to eat the fresh pineapple and fruit dip that were left-over from the party! I am really worried about it though, so I probably will not go through with it.
I am very pleased with the results so far. I don't have a total amount of weight lost as we have not stepped on the scale, but judging how my clothes are fitting (or not fitting) I would say I've lost about 10 pounds. My husband has probably lost a bit more, because his face looks thinner and his belly doesn't stick out so much. It's not a difficult diet - I really expected it would be.
Hubby started out at 210 - goal of 180
My starting weight 160 - goal 115
