  • New Here and Getting started with Atkins again!!

    Hi there

Well I am going to jump back onto the wagon and get my life going again!!

I do have kind of a hold up right now ...I just delivered my son via c-section on Feb 9th and I am nursing him.

So I can't do the induction phase to get me started but I have the added benefit of nursing so that should help me burn some extra fat!

I have talked to doc and Lactation consult about it and they all agree that I can get started. I am borderline diabetic anyways so It is good for me to be on a low carb eating plan!!

I started my diet officially last night after reading through this website and seeing pictures!! What a motiviation you people are!!!

My mother and sister are both on the diet...we are old timers to it...we were doing it back when you didn't have all this low carb stuff on market!! We have been on an off again more times than I can count!

I lost about 50 lbs the first time I did the diet after my 1st child.. I have had my 2nd and 3rd child now so haven't had as good results as the first time but I am in it all the way now!!!

I love horses and I want to be able to ride without feeling blobs of fat bouncing all over the place!!

Thanks for all the support I can see that you all so freely give!! I intend to be a regular poster! I think it is what will help me stay true to the diet!

    Thank you all again

Welcome to ADBB! Congrats on the new baby, I just love babies!!! I had a c-section with my first baby, and a v-bac with with second. I hope you are feeling better, I had a very hard time healing. Good for you taking this step, we are so happy to have you!! I lost 20 pounds when I breast-fed my daughter, so it should help! I like horses, too. I grew up on a farm, and we always had horses.
You will have to post a pic of those cute kids of yours!! I am looking forward to your posts about your success!!
What would we do without it?
