    Hello!
    My name is Karen and i am a 36 yr old SAHM of two boys. I lost 81 lbs on Atkins from Oct 2002-2003 and then found out i was pregnant. I went off the diet, gained my pregancy weight and went back to my old way of eating and gained alot of the weight back. When i started ATkins in oct 2002 i weighed 301 lbs. I was 220 lbs when i got pregnant with my son. I eventually made my way back up to 277 lbs which is where i was one week ago. Today was day 7 of induction for me and tomorrow morning is my weigh in so i will see how much i lost for week 1. I stayed under 20 carbs these 7 days and didn't cheat so i am on the right track now! I am happy to find this board and am looking forward to supporting each other!

      Congratulations on your one week success! Welcome back. You've come to the best place to get support and motivation. Everyone here is doing it together and sharing our ups/downs in this battle to get healthy.

        I had my weigh in this morning!!
        i lost 8 lbs in my first week of induction! woo hoo!
        I am 269 lbs today!

          I am on day 10 of induction today!

          I did awesome the first 8 days and stayed under 20 carbs with no cheats, followed induction to a T!!

          Then yesterday on day 9 i Screwed up!!! i didnt count my carbs throughout the day like i usually do. I didnt count them till after dinner time and i ended up with 22.6 carbs for the day! i was so mad at myself. I had also made another mistake in that i ate a low carb yogurt (3 carbs) which is NOT on induction. It set me off with cravings!! arghhh!! I was so mad at myself and so disgusted i threw up my hands and ate 4 more carbs! so i ended up with a cab count of 26.6 for the day. back on track today!!!

            Hi and welcome! You know, you don't have to count your carbs during induction. Just follow the rules, measure your foods and I guarantee you won't go over 20 net carbs!

                You've had some great success with Atkins before, so you know it works!

                  Turns out i didnt do as bad on day 9 as i thought..i forgot to subtract the fiber..duh!!
                  I plugged everything into fit day and here is what i go so far

                          Today is day 13 for me!! I will be weighing in again Wed morning and will be interested to see how it turns out!
                          I noticed my calories arent as high as they were the first few days, due to my hunger starting to go away. I noticed after my so called "bad day" i had a couple higher fat days, because i started trying to lower my carbs a bit to make up for my bad day. Whether this is good or bad..the scale will tell on Wednesday! we shall see!
