    Hi everyone,

    I happened to stumble across this site and I'm so glad I did. I have enjoyed reading your success stories.. they're all very motivational and inspiring.

    I have always been overweight and I have tried a lot of diets but have never been able to stick to any of them. I look forward to the support I hope to find here as I'm determined to shed these unwanted pounds. I have my eye on the prize and that's a little black dress that has been gathering dust in the back of my closet for a really long time.

    I'm starting off by exercising and watching my portion sizes. I have ordered my Atkin books and have yet to receive them so I won't be starting the diet just yet.

    I'm 31, 5'3", my SW: 135 lbs & my Goal weight: 115lbs
    I've taken my before pics this morning & in 3 months or so I hope to post my progress.

    I wish everyone continued success and I look forward to reading them all.

    Hi. Welcome. So happy you stumbled and landed here with us. Congratulations on making the important decision to make changes to improve your life and your health. Most of us share your past failures at diets and thats what led us also to do Atkins. Instead of feeling like we are on a diet, we feel that we are working together to change our destructive habits into healthy ones.

    Glad you have ordered the book. Dr. Atkins plan definitely works - so reading his words and following it as he suggests is very important. Best wishes and please keep us posted on your success. You can do this...we are all here to help each other with questions, challenges, motivation and friendship.

        Great start Mahliya! And good for you on buying the book! There are great FAQ's and stickies in the various forums to fill in until the book arrives!
