Well...I already have doen my intro, but I would like to expand on it a bit and let you all know a little bit more about me. I also hope that this will help you new people to realise the great people that are on this forum!!! Well I checked out this site for a month or two when I first started atkins. I often found great tips, encouragement, ect. from simply reading the posts. Well I finally decided to join! At first it seemed kind of wierd, but now it is part of my daily routine. When I finally joined, I had lost 29 lbs. You see I had once wished to be a police officer, but I eventually gave it up. I currently work in the political arena, but after watching/helping many of my friends to become police officers I decided that was what I truly wished to do.
Finally I was really serious and knew that was what I wanted so I started atkins! I lost my weight and then I joined this forum. This forum kept me sticking with the Atkins Way Of Life. It motivated me, challenged me and has kept me on track! I started at 287 lbs., when I joined the forum I was at 268, now I am at 245. i hope to get down to 200.
Anyway, I weight more now than when I was in High School, but I am in much better shape! I can rune for miles. I do not think I am as strong as the athlete I was in high school, but my stamina, speed, and endurance is much better. I love the exercise challenges on this forum! One month ago I could not do 1 full sit-up, last month I did 575 of them!!! I am in such good shape that I start my Police Academy training on Monday! I am putting myself through the Academy, but it is one of the best around so I am sure I shall get past the probation period, be accepted get through it and get a job! The point is that the support, encouragement, that you get here combined with your own determination and desire to succeed is all you need to bring your dream to furition! thank you to all who have helped me, and to you new folks....if I can make it this far anyone can! You just need to realise what you want!

3100 Push-Ups
2300 Sit- Ups
If I can go from not being able to do a Sit-Up to being able to do that! You can make your weight loss goals a reality! I am currently working and I started a business 2 weeks ago and I still have time for this way of life. You need to realise there are no excuses.............JUST DO IT!!!! You will be happier, healthier, and whatever else you need! Good luck to all and thanks to all who have helped me!
