  • Welcoming myself back!

I was amazed to get the 3rd anniversary message, since I "found" this board in June 2003 and it was already majorly populated and very active!

I have returned to Atkins to clean out my system and refocus my energies away from foods that are ultimately poisonous to my body. During my pregnancy and nursing, I got lazy about portions and acceptable foods, since my weight gain was withing an acceptable range and the nursing allowed me to eat a LOT more food without gaining weight.

I weaned my son (now 14 months old) about 10 days ago and returned to Atkins yesterday.

It feels familiar and strange -- I actually know what to eat, I just haven't been doing it! And olives are a huge treat for me, so that's a good thing.

Welcome back AtkinsWife! I too am a second time arounder, and your story is a lot like mine including your stats.

I nursed my daughter for 16mons (Jan. 06) and it has taken me a little over a month to come back to this woe. I am nerveous, anxious, and excited. I know that it can be done and knowing that there is support here certainly helps alot.

So, welcome back and I look forward to congratulating you on your losses.

IMHO, motherhood is the best thing in the world!!!!!!!

                  thanks!
thanks, y'all. i have a cold today, so i'm taking it very easy...

dh and i originally started on atkins together, and when he came down with the induction flu i started poking around online to get some real life info about that sorry condition.

...and i found adbb! the rest is history...
