  • New to the board and to Atkins

Hello all! I'm on day six and have already lost a few pounds and a half inch off my stomach. I don't have any Atkins books, however I read the atkins lifestyle book entirely over Christmas. After reading it I really thought it was the way to go for me. I'm a binge eater and I think carbs had a lot to do with the how I ate. I can hardly believe that I haven't had sugar in 6 days!

If this works for me it can work for anyone! I'm having a really easy time of this. I keep different kinds of meat and cheeses in the fridge and a bag of mixed greens and eat that all day. Along with a ton of water and if I feel at all headachey from no caffeine I have a glass of green tea. I drink tons of water and when I get over this awful cough I have, I'll work out everyday if I can. And I'm taking an efa, a multi-vitamin and calcium.

Hi and welcome! I think you'll find this to be a very supportive place. I'd really advise you to get the book. We use the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution around here as it was the last edition the good doctor wrote before his death. It's really invaluable.

Welcome...Well done. There are many things in the Atkins Diet Revolution book that you are missing. If you come across one go ahead and pick it up... there is a wealth of knowledge about this Way of Eating.

All the people here are friendly and can help you with just about anything. Be sure to search the Board before asking questions because it may have been answered before.

Stickies are Great too. After reading them ... is when I re-started and caught my "second wind".

Thanks everyone, I'm really inspired by everyone on the board. And I'll be sure to pick up the book asap. I've been perusing the board quite a bit and have gotten so much good information. It's been easy going so far, the only time I noticed feeling hungry was the day I drank a diet coke. I will not do that again!
