    Hello,

    My name is Jerrie. I'm going to start the diet on Monday. Im trying to find out what kind of snaks I can eat in between meals. I hve 60lb to loose

    Welcome to ADBB! Do you have the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins book?? If not, please get a copy! It will explain everything. Also, if you go to the Induction forum there are stickys there that will give you lots of information. As you go on this way of life, you won't really snack very much! I know, its hard to believe. If you have any questions, please ask!
    What would we do without it?

        Thanks for getting back to me so fast. I just went and brought the book today. I just want to want to make sure that I get the right things when I go to the grocery shopping later today.

              Welcome!! You've come to the right place for inspiration, motivation and information on getting healthy. Please read the DANDR (Dr. ATkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002) drink lots of water, exercise and take supplements. All of these combined will help your body work to shed the weight and make you feel fantastic.

                Im going crazy!!


                I ate 2 scrambled eggs and 2 small pieces of candian bacon. And I have been drinking water. At this point i feel as though im starving. So one this diet u can't chew gum or eat a mint?

                  HI,I am a newbie doing induction and I would be careful with that canadian bacon, they are cured and will have sugar added.We cant eat it during induction.I too bought some and than took another look at the label, and it said 2carbs per slice........so go check the label before youi continue eating it.REgular bacon is your best bet.....just limit it.Dont go crazy.
                  I chew gum.......i have to......if I dont I will just eat.I eat sugarless.....

                        Hi and welcome! If you're hungry, eat. One thing we need to learn is if we are really hungry or if we're just a bit dehydrated. Our brain can give us the same signals if we're both. If you've just eaten and still feel hungry, try drinking some water (which we need to be doing anyways!) and if you still feel hungry a little while after that, eat something from the acceptable food list for induction. Cream is a dairy product. It's like high fat milk. We use it for our coffee for example. There are different grades of cream. What we want is 'heavy' or 'whipping' cream which is I think around 30% fat.

                              i really do apprecaite the feedback!! Ok i try not to eat that much. Me and water dont mix!!! I felt like throwing up today while at work. That is how water make me feel. can anyone give me a example of what kind of snacks i cantake to work with me for the introduction fase. I need to bill my will power. My husbnd dont think i have it inme to stick with this introduction fase. Can you eat sausage as a meat?
