Hello all. I'm new to this board and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 22 years old and just started induction today. I've been thinking about doing Atkins for a while, but I don't know what really made me decide to start now. (I guess I just got tired of being tired and uncomfortable with myself). Anyway, so far so good. I started the morning with a little exercise and stuck to the eating plan and drank 10 glasses of water. Anyways, what I didn't know was that there was a pizza party today at work (and it smelled sooooo good), but I kept telling myself that one slice of pizza cannot bring my as much joy as having a healthy and slim body will. Yay me! I figured I need to take it one day at a time. And since I made it through the day, congrats to me! If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. I have a lot of weight to lose, but I'm in this for the long haul. My current/starting weight is 245 and my goal weight is 135.

Re: 1st day on induction
Thanks to everyone for responding with words of encouragement. I'm happy to report that I am now on day 5 of a CLEAN induction and I feel really good. I weighed myself today (after which I made my dad hide the scale and only give it to me on fridays) and so far I have lost a whopping 5 pounds!! So thanks again for the encouragement, and I'll keep you updated!
