  • Very new and confused but trying lol

    hello everyone I am starting induction today hopefully I get this right w/ all of the lbs. that i need to lose. I really think that if i stay focused and try hard i can accomplish at least the short term goal of 230. I wanted to say hi and maybe give everyone a small profile. I am 25yrs old and have 3 boys ages 4,3,and 5months I am happily married and livin life in the fast lane. (very busy) if anyone knows of any tips for making atkins work with quick prep times please tell me. thanks to the ADBB for puting a forum that everyone can learn and lose together.

    Start again date 7/26/06
    Start weight 250lbs
    current weight 240
    weight (one day)165
    Birthday Challenge November 14th 220lbs

    3 boys ages 4,3,and 10 months!!! I need to keep up with them. Michael, Eric and Christopher.

    I'm just starting today as well. I'm new to it, and I really can't help advice wise, but maybe we can keep each other motivated, as it seems we have some similarities! Good luck! I'm sure we can both do this!

      Welcome.......and wow...........3 kids by 25........congratulations and I bet you are tired.
      Anyway, I found prepacked cheese (you know the type we buy for the kids lunches),cold cuts and olives were my top choices.They are easy to grab on the go and it keeps you full until you can sit down for a proper meal.Just remember to drink water and try to stay away from diet colas, this is something I have struggled with the entire time.Its hard at the beginnning, but drinking water has become normal for me now.

        about the diet cola i think that that will be my hardest thing to stay away from. I NEED MY CAFFINE lol. thanks for the support this site is great.

          there are differing views of caffiene. Mine would be take one thing at a time. Get yourself through the first fews days and the headache and then start reducing your caffiene intake.
          I have four kids myself so i know how busy you are! My suggestion is when you have a chance make things up ahead of time. A package or two of bacon to cook and then store in baggies in the fridge are great for quick snacks, also cheese and cut up salads and veggies. In a few days your apetite supression will be kicking in so you'll have to force yourself to eat probably, but its a good feeling nonetheless!
