  • Starting over again :(

I did atkins back in '04 started July 15th & lasted until thanksgiving and went from 345-272 then after that day of thanksgiving gave away to a day of leftovers and the another then that gave away to starting back after christmas. you get the idea. Ok i'm back for a way of life this time not a diet. I just got divorced so it's probally for spite to lol.

So now im raising my (2) year old boy & my (5) month old boy by myself, I want to be able to run and play ball with them not be the old fat dad. So I know I will be looking for advice and strength here from all of you so I want to thank you in advance. I'm going to start thursday I picked that day not to power eat until then, but Because I will go grocery shopping wednesday.

Just to ramble on I think one thing that hurt me last time was all the compliments, tons of people were tell me how much better i looked, I let it go to me head.

Last time I was able to go to the track and walk 2-3 miles a day, i won't have time to go to the track this time, not with work and the boys are another fulltime job and squeezing in her visitation time. I will have to find something I can do at home. Treadmill is an option but it will be a while before i can get one. I will figure out something though. Saturday and Sunday I will be able to go to the track but ill need something for during the week.

I will weigh in and post a starting weight by thursday and i'm hiding the scales after, there not even going to be in the house, i'm not going to be weighing in everyday, I know my weight is higher than it was last time. But not for long

Any one else starting back around the same time wants to be diet buddies let me know.

thanks for all the help in advance

    Re: Starting over again

I just started over again (after many re-starts) a few days back. I think there's plenty of us that are in the same boat. I'm glad you haven't given up. I know that low-carb is the only way I can be satisfied and lose weight. We just have to learn from our mistakes and get back on that horse. Good for you!

hey guy! Welcome back to atkins and a new you. It does sound like you're really busy with life. Maybe you could look into one of those 'running' strollers that you could put both your boys in. Or even a regular double one would work for evening strolls. Just take it one day at a time and visit us regularly for inspiration....good luck to you!

        Welcome back
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
        he said, 'Don't count calories.'
