Hi everyone! Another longtime lurker, here - finally summoning the courage to speak up and say 'hey'. When I started this most recent chapter of my weight loss adventure, I could not have hoped to encounter a friendlier and more supportive bunch of people. So, as the title says... here goes.
STATS... Started Atkins (again
) on February 14th, 2006 - after more than ten years of on-again, off-again success. By the way, I'm female, 30 and 5'4" (AND a half...).
I finally weighed in on February 25th - at a whopping 178lbs (WHAT?!). My most recent weigh-in was on March 19th had me at 174lbs, but down two inches.. (I'm one of those "takes forever to see results" dieters). I generally stay away from the scales for at least a week between weigh-ins, preferring to track my progress by how I feel and how my clothes fit (looks like I'll be ready for that birthday shopping spree in late April, as planned).
Just one more note before I close - I mentioned courage at the beginning of this post. This is something I find here each and every time I "stop by". You have no idea what that does for my outlook and commitment to making Atkins my ongoing way of life. For the first time, I have even started climbing "the ladder" (I've always induction-ed my way through, felt deprived, and gave up within 3-4 months), and am happily chomping my way through "veggies" at the moment. I have set a goal weight of 143 - and sincerely believe I will acheive and maintain this, with my new support network in place.
Thanks for the motivation! Keep up all the good work!
