  • Hello

I am new to the forum but not new to Atkins. I lost about 40 pounds last year on atkins. I haven't gained any of it back, but I am not to my target weight. I weight 215 and I am working towards 140-150 (I am 6 ft tall ).

Today is my first day of induction. I need to get back at it.

OMG! Sorry about that. I am 6 ft tall.

This is my first day back on induction and I have a headache. I have felt hungry all day, even after I eat. I hope to feel better in the morning.

        Darn carb addiction.

Welcome! We're glad you found us. I don't think you can find a more helpful or friendlier bunch of people than here at ADBB.

Congrats on losing the 40 pounds, I look forward to seeing your results when you lose the rest. And congrats on keeping off those 40 pounds, that's a huge accomplishment!

I did Extended Induction from 1/3 to 5/9 (2006) and lost 55 pounds, so I know I can do it again!

You say you are feeling hungry all day! Are you eating your fats? Don't be afraid of the fat in induction. About the induction flu, just remember it will pass quickly. And don't forget your water, water, water!

                Thanks everyone for the welcome.

I am not worried about lack of water, since water is the only thing I drink.

Horray for Water!! I'm glad you don't have to kick any soda or coffee habits! And well done for keeping those 40lbs off all this time. I know how horrible the induction flu can be, I went through it two weeks ago, but now that seems like a decade ago. It will pass and then you will be on the way to your goal weight! Welcome to ADBB!!!!

No soda for me. I kicked that last year when I first tried atkins. Know it burns my throat, which is not a great feeling. And I only have a cup of coffee about once a month.

                    Water is the best.
