I'm 22 years old and i am starting Atkins for the 2nd time.
I tried it before and was doing well, lost 20lbs in a month or so but ended falling on hard times and failing somehow.
I gain alot of weight several years as a child as i suffered from clinical depression and spent several years sitting and eating junk, with my parents help
Anyway starting again now, I have finished my exams and got myself a new job so alot of the pressure is off of me.
I weigh 280lbs and i am 6 feet 2 inches tall. I have a holiday at the beggining of September this year and i hope to lose as much as possible before then. My goal for then is 220lbs, thats 60lbs in 4 months, sounds impossible but i will try my hardest.
I have lost my copy of Dr Atkins book and will be getting another one as soon as i can but i have already started induction (on 5 days ago) and i am doing my best.
I still find it hard to belive that a diet that allows you to eat bacon, steak, cheese, chicken and so many great things can help you lose weight, but this site is proof, it works. I find reading all of your success stories really inspiring and thank you for sharing them.
