Hey there, I would really appreciate some help from someone...
I've been on the Atkins Diet for ABOUT 5 weeks now, (cheated a few times, but have been doing REALLY good)
I absolutely LOVE the way the diet makes me feel! I will eat my HUGE italian bmt salad from subway while my friends eat their footlong sandwich.... and at the end, they want to go to sleep while I want to DO SOMETHING! I LOVE IT!
Well.... I know for a fact that I will ALWAYS be on this diet. That's how good it makes me feel! =] BUT... EVERYWHERE I go people are dissing the diet saying "its BAD - YOURE GONNA DIE! - too much protein is BAD! - Youre gonna get heart disease - youre cholesteral has probably SKY ROCKET'D! - etc - etc!"
Ok I know for a FACT that the cholesteral myth is a lie! Because my dad got on the diet BECAUSE of his bad cholesteral... and it helped him!
BUT... what about all the other myths!? What is true and what isnt? People like to tell me "Dr. Atkins is dead... he died of a heart attack!" (What am i suppose to say?... "Oh i personally KNEW him and that is SO-NOT-TRUE!")
And my biggest problem at the moment is (sorry for this topic but...) I NEVERRRRRRR go poop! Probably once in a while after i've cheated-or-so! But I DO pee alot! One of the people who tell me these "myths?", tell me that the reason why I'm not pooping is because the diet is bad (blah blah blah).
And the only explanation that someone who is PRO atkins told me:
"Your poop is what your body doesnt want... the "bad stuff",
so if you aren't eating bad-junky-foods (sugar)... you dont go poop!)
PLEASE someone explain to me... why I do not go poop... is it bad? Is it only because i need more fiber? I seriously need a logical explanation so that I can tell these ANTI-ATKINS people that atkins is GOOD!

Also this is the 3rd time I have looked at this sight I get so much info but I never have ben able to get an ansswer back and what do i have to do to get the little scle on the bottom
