    Re: Day 2

Sounds like a bout of induction flu to me. This is quite normal and should go away within a few days. When it does, you'll probably find you feel ultra energetic. Induction flu happens because the body is detoxing from all those carbs.

    Hang in there, it'll pass.

Yes, the headaches are normal, but on day three or four they'll go away and you'll have amazing super-power-like energy from that point on.

As a matter of fact, that's how I found this board -- at the end of my first day of induction I felt like absolute CR*P and typed "Atkins Diet headaches" in a search engine. I found the answer I was looking for, as well as a great group of friends and supporters. Glad you found us, too!

It's true, this is very normal, and believe it or not a good sign that your body is adjusting to your new way of eating, ridding itself of toxins and that you will very soon feel like a different person. There's a great thread about induction flu that I think you might get a lot of information from, here's the link: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=14541

I had induction flu BIG TIME the first time I tried Atkins, and it wasn't fun in the least. Good luck, hope you feel better soon.
Female / Currently on Extended Induction (again), begun 6/2/08.

I did Extended Induction from 1/3 to 5/9 (2006) and lost 55 pounds, so I know I can do it again!
