  • A little confused....

    Hi everyone....Scooter again,

Still having a bit of trouble understanding a couple things.....(I need my book again hahaha!!!) instead of bothering you folks..

Anyway, my soy sauce container says it has no sugar, no carbs, but everybody yesterday is telling me it does....

Secondly, worcheshire sauce, is says no carbs, but damn, it has corn syrup in it!!

My mustard (I'm like reading my refrigerator like a madman...sorry...haha) says no carbs, but the carb counter site says .03 per tablspoons...

Plus can anyone suggest a good Mayonaise, all of them that I read have corn syrup or sugar......thoughts?

Thank you so much for all your help!!

    Started: April 17th 2006
    Start Weight: 295

    12 - 20 carbs a day
    185 oz of water......

    Hiya Scooter,

The rule of thumb is no added sugar, so unless it's naturally occurring sugar and under 2 carbs a tablespoon...it's a no no.

I use Best Foods (Hellmans on the east coast?)...it's good and approximately 1 carb per tablespoon.

If you have other Induction questions or questions on your menu, you may want to post in the 14 Day Induction or Review My Menu forums.

    Take care!

Scooter!!! You might want to post this over in one of the diet forums like Induction! But - they can say no carbs if its under .5 PER SERVING! So it may have carbs even if its not listed. But go over 1 serving and you're actually getting a carb!

Best Mayo is DUKES brand! Its delicious and has only legal ingredients!

Really, I've never come across DUKE's! Where do you buy yours? I've been looking for a legal mayo for a long time, but none of my local stores have anything other than the main brands (and their store versions of same).

Great input Mog...some labels aren't always accurate, so if you have a tendency to use more than a serving, then counting 1/2 carb per serving is a good idea...and so it limiting the amount of condiments. Great picture Mog, is that your baby picture?

Scooter, I posted the links to both 14 Day and Main forum in my original post...in case you have more questions.

                  Re: A little confused....

Ohhhhh then maybe I can pick some up next time I visit home! But then again, I lived there for the first 25 years of my life and never heard of it, so maybe not. hehe

I'd really like to try some, maybe I can find it online. I'll give it a shot.
