Hi everyone,
My name is Heidi and I originally did Atkins about 5 years ago and at the time went from 160 lbs to about 135 lbs. Over the next 4-5 years after I stopped, I ballooned up to 210 lbs. and last year I told myself I was going to do Atkins again and this time do it for life. Unfortunately, I tried to do it at least twice, and here I am again, trying to do it for the 4th or 5th time.
I'm hoping this time around that I will reach and maintain my goal. I am only Day 15 and already fell off the wagon, though I am picking myself up, dusting off, and going right back on the horse.
I am doing the July 4th Challenge with some friends, and I am sticking to it. Also, I will be graduating from college next month, which is a great incentive for me to stick to my diet. Also, now that I've discovered this site, I am hoping to get more support from fellow low-carbers, because frankly it's pretty hard out there, with everyone ragging on Atkins dieters and/or low-carbers.
Any tips, advice and general words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.
