  • 1 week in and still going strong

I joined this BB about a week ago when I started induction. I've tried to begin this WOE a few times and I usually quit it within a week....so I'm so proud of myself for making the whole first week and not feeling any amount of wanting to turn back. It helps to have a good friend to encourage me and help me make the right choices every time. She lost 60 pounds with Atkins about 4 years ago and has maintained it....so I know it will work.

I'm 36 years old and mother to 3 young daughters. We live in rural Oklahoma so a lot of the things that would be a great help with eating are not available around here, but I'm making do and doing well.

I started on 4/17/2006 with a starting weight of 203 (which is also my highest weight)
My current weight as of is 193, which is an awesome loss of 10 pounds in about 10 days.

My goal weight is 125 and I'm hoping to see that by Christmas...but I"m prepared to have to go longer too....

I'm working on setting some short term goals too so it doesn't seem like such a huge task.

    Thanks for all the info!!

Welcome and congrats on 10 pound weight loss in 10 days, that's a great jump-start! You couldn't find a better bunch of people than here at the ADBB, so I think you're certainly in the right place to keep yourself motivated and on plan. And your attitude sounds like you are ready to be stubborn and give this your all, which is a very good sign. I wish you the best of luck, and feel free to PM me if you ever need anything.
Female / Currently on Extended Induction (again), begun 6/2/08.

I did Extended Induction from 1/3 to 5/9 (2006) and lost 55 pounds, so I know I can do it again!
