  • Audio Engineering Student from Nashville

Hello, I started Atkins nearly a month ago and have lost near 30 lbs. My inspiration is my cousin. He was 300 lbs or more. He wore clothes that were even larger to disguise his size. He was a very quiet and shy guy, embarrassed by his size. I felt bad for him. I thought of him as my younger brother. After he graduated from high school, he was fed up with being the big guy who was a nice guy to women, but never being the right guy. He learned the ways of Dr. Atkins from his mother, and started Atkins. He found out that he could still enjoy some of his favorite meals such as hotwings. He gradually added in more exercise, and after one year, he became very thin and healthy.

I am a college student majoring in Recording Industry Management with a minor in Production and Technology. I love graphic art, photo restoration, interior decorating, web design, gaming, Apple computers, audio engineering, and music production.

I have to admit, this board has increased my will power to reach my goal.
I am glad to be a part of this php forum.

Welcome to ADBB, e-clipse! Glad to have another guy to even out our ratios, ! My older brother (and many on this board) were my role models for how successful Atkineers live. I hope you to see you find the support you need to get you to goal as well.

Welcome! Just for my nosiness, how did you pick your name? Are you interested in eclipses? I chase solar eclipses when I can afford it and was just interested.
You'll do well on this if you have such a good start, you obviously have got it right.

I love astronomy! During hard times in my life, I would stare into the moon and
the stars and would dream for better days. I write electronic music under the pseudonym e-clipse. I have gone through several names, including solaris, lunaris, moon, dark shadow gate, and e-clipse. I am a space nut. I am not to educated in astronomy as of yet. I will be taken astronomy soon enough.

                  Welcome from a fellow southerner!

I'm from close to your neck of the woods, and pass through Nashville every time I visit back home (I'm from near Huntsville, AL). I had family in Nashville while growing up, so I was there a lot and know it fairly well.

Your cousin sounds like a poster boy for Atkins, what an inspiration! So has he stopped being the guy that ladies love as a friend but never love as a boyfriend? I"m betting he's got no problem with dates now!

I'm thrilled you found our boards, we're glad to have you! Being active here has helped me TREMENDOUSLY, all the accountability and feedback and information really help me to stay focused. The exercise challenges have especially helped me, because exercise is my NUMBER ONE stumbling block, because I've always been lazy and somewhat sedentary. But nowadays I'm LOVING being active and look forward to being even MORE active as time goes by.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Again, welcome, and good luck!

I did Extended Induction from 1/3 to 5/9 (2006) and lost 55 pounds, so I know I can do it again!

Physics is very important in Audio Engineering. I would like to know the hypothesis relating to the physics of a wormhole. I admire anyone who completed a challenge so technical and as advanced as a Physics degree.
I always contemplate taking physics, because I know it could be very beneficial to my career. Anyways, thanks for the comments and words of encouragement.

I love Nashville! It is a very musical city, which I like. I glad to hear that someone on the boards has experienced our speedily growing city.

I am proud of my cousin. He sent the family a picture of him and his roomate from college. Both guys had young ladies by their side.
He has since moved to a low fat diet, which he maintains with exercise.
We always eat freely on holidays. If he starts to gain weight, I think he turns into Atkins to loose any pounds he might have gained.

I am glad I came here too. I found it by accident while searching for low carb recipes. That is great that this board and it's people give you extra will power to carry through your weight loss goal. This board inspired me to take a 7 to 9 mile walk yesterday. I lost 1lb.
