  • Hi Everyone

Hello everyone, well im new to this site but not the atkins lifestyle, a little about me. Im a 29 year old married mom to two beautiful girls. Two and a half years ago I started dieting and my starting weight was 316, i have not heard of atkins then so i started doing my own thing and since i was so heavy i lost 20lbs fairly quickly and got stuck, but one day i was in the store and saw the book so as i stood there in the store i started looking through it and i said "oh i can do this" and my journey began back in the summer of 2004, I did so well at first, even got down to 256 and was feeling good, but i was doing it all wrong, not nearly eneough veggies, way to much protein and then i gave up, moved in with my husband now but fiance then and put me on the backburner and this was in the fall of 2004. well i got back up to 290 and was like this is not going to work so i tried south beach and i lost some weight but i stalled out around 270 and in my mind i was saying this is so much healthier so i kept at it off and on until march of this year, and i said im going to go back to atkins because i was going up and down with my weight from 270-275, so i started atkins but i was still doing it wrong, to much cheese, not eneough veggies and i was still stuck between 270-275 and i wanted to give up, i was feeling i have been doing this for 2 months and cant get past 270 so someone directed me to Leadwiththediet website which im not sure if everyone is familiar with that website or not but i corresponded with adele who took a look at my fitday and basically told me what i needed to fix, told me i was doing to much protein and dairy, so i gave up cheese since it was something i love and it was something i usually went overboard with and i gave up process meats and i broke my stall in the last week i have lost 7lbs. so basically this time around i want to succeed and i love reading other peoples success even though i know we pretty much determine what our success will be. ok well i know this is so long but i feel like its good to see how someone came to atkins and a little history about them so i would love to make new friends on this journey and will visit this website often.
