  • Hi everyone!

    Hi, Im Lois, Im 22 and currently weigh 182lbs, I want to get to around 147lbs so I guess I don't have a great amount to lose but I know it will make a big difference.
    I lost weight on atkins a few years ago but I let it slip and I am now heavier than I have been for a very long time so Im back. 2 weeks ago I split up with my boyfriend of 4 years so I am determined to make myself HOT! I want him to see he is missing out on a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I am not doing this for anyone but myself, my confidence is so low at the moment, I hate my body and it's time to change it for good.
    I hope I get to know you all and I cant wait to post my before and after pics, hopefully that will be soon!

    Oh also, I know everyones weight loss varies but roughly how much do you think I could lose in 6 weeks? I go away then and my friend is SOOO slim, I don't want to feel like a whale next to her on the beach!

    Welcome to the board Lois! Have you picked up the Atkins book to read yet? Make that your first priority. You basically can expect to lose 5-10% of your weight that you have to lose during the first two weeks of induction. If you have any questions, ask away, always someone to help out. Remember to read the book, drink your water (aim for half your body weight in water per day) which for you would be 91 oz.. and don't forget your mandatory exercise at least 3 times per week. Good luck to you. And hugs on the breakup with your boyfriend.

      Hey!

      Thanks for the welcome! I have read the book last time I did it and I am just working my way through it again for a few reminders! I already drink LOADS of water so should be ok there, just exercise is my problem as I am L-A-Z-Y! I will change that though because I really want to be healthier.
      Well done on your loss so far, I notice our start weights and goals are very similar so I'll keep checking how you're doing!
