    Hi all,

This is my first time doing Atkins. I'm 8 days into induction and have lost 15 pounds so far. It feels like i've been doing this for months, it's hard >.<

Anyway, just saying hi, i'll see you all around

Thanks Kent This board is exactly what I need to encourage me from giving up.

I'm at the stage where the thought of eating 1 more egg just makes me want to vomit, but I have found so many delicious recipes on here that make it bearable.

Looking at your sig, i'm impressed! That is an incredible loss, I hope to have as much success as you! Wow

        Re: Good Afternoon

Welcome to the board. I just joined the board yesterday, and I've been amazed at the encouragement. Atkins really does get easier. My husband's been doing it for 3 1/2 years. I never thought I'd see him stick to a diet. I'm so proud of him.
        June Goals
        1. Continue with water
        2. Use bike more (3x per week would be nice).
        3. Continue with videos.
        4. Go to the YMCA for water classes.
        5. Build stamina for more walking.

        Goals for May:
        1. Water every day - at least 100 oz.
        2. Walk through Wal Mart instead of ride.
        3. Post every day.
        4. Get the exercise bike out of basement and use it!
        5. Re-read DANDR! It's been too long.

          Re: Good Afternoon

          Hello and a warm welcome!!

Glad you found the board. Yes... it is hard at the beginning, but trust me, if you stick to the rules and eat right, exercise, drink your water and take your supplements you can't go wrong. The weight will drop off and you'll find it gets easier and easier.

For me the turning point was about a month into the diest...from then on in it just became a little more 'natural' every day. Now, I love the way I eat.

You'll find plenty of support and inspiration here at ADBB, and people will tell you 'right' and by the book, which is how Dr A intended it. Other boards apparently are not so stringent, but it's here that we see tremendous results!

Welcome also to you, Omnimomma (cool nic btw!)

Look forward to following both your losses!
