  • Diet .. One more time ..

    Hello ,,

    I’m new here .. I’ve been dieting for the last 3 months .. and I lost 22lbs .. .. but it was unorganized and slow for me .. so today is my first day in Atkins ..

    Actually I have a long history with diet .. all kinds .. I loose 20 pounds and gain 25 .. loose 25 and gain 30 … so you know the suffering !!

    I’ve checked your forum earlier and I loved how friendly the people here .. that’s why I joined ..

    Today I struggled a little ( I had Diet cola , by mistake !!! ).. hope that tomorrow will be better ..

    But I have 2 problems .. I can’t live without Diet cola and sugar free gum !!

    And the other problem is that I work from 7 am to 3 pm .. and in the place I work I have big problem bringing food with me .. so the easiest thing is to bring snacks .. so what do you recommend .. I need something easy and clean to eat without using spoon or fork .. I know .. difficult .. !! I don’t have time to eat breakfast .. because I wakeup at 6 am and go out at 6.30 ..

    So .. any suggestions ..

    Oh by the way .. what bout Perrier mineral water ??

    I hope that this is the last time I start a diet ..


    P.S. .. English is my second language .. so please forgive my mistakes ..

    wow so many questions first you need to make changes in your schedule to alow for your Atkins get up 15 min earlier and go to bed 15 mines earlier Now you have time for breakfast.
    make your breakfast up a head of time leftovers from dinner are great or you can do the egg muffins cooked a head of time and just warmed up.

    induction snacky meals can be anything you want from the acceptable food lists

    roll ups are cutleryless meals. buy some acceptable meat in your deli ask to see ingredients before you buy so you know it is legal and get it sliced about as thick as packaged bologna. then you can place some cut up veggies on it and some mayo or one of our recipe sauces and roll it up secure with toothpicks and slice into small bite size rolls. if you have a microwave you can warm up hot wings or anything else you bring in a lunchmate cooler type thing you can purree your veggies and meat to make a cream of veggie soup and drink your meal . cheese is good too.

    As a former 24 can a day diet coke addict I know it can be given up if you really want to. I even went so far as to buy canned water just to have the can in my hand when I gave it all up to start Atkins. the head ache will go away in 2-3 days from beingf caffeine free and you can be hooked on water in a week.

      i'll try your suggestions ... i thinks with prior night preparation it can be done ..

      diet coke !!!!!!!!! Aaaah .. i will struggle !!!

      not even one !!!! please .. LOL .. i know .. i read the book .. but i had some hope .. ha ha ha ..

      anyone can answer me about Perrier mineral water ??

        Wow! Kicking a 24 can/day coke habit is inspiring me! So is the promise that I can get hooked on water. I'm going for it!

            Hi dalageem! Welcome to the boards! I think it is great that you've lost that much weight in 3 months. This board is a great place to find info and get the back up you need from people in the same boat as you are. You are doing fine with your English! Just keep posting!

              Welcome! So glad you've decided to join us on your journey to health and happiness. We all have individual obstacles that we have to overcome while changing our life-styles. Making a plan will help you stay focused and give you the knowledge of how to handle the issues that arise and stay on your WOE.

              There are many forums here in the ADBB that will give you ideas, suggestions, challenges, motivation and knowledge on life/health issues as you do Atkins. Best wishes to you and please keep us posted on your progress. You can do this.
